John Deere

Jordan LOVES John Deere.
He longs to be back on a farm. Some of his fondest memories are those of the long days he spent in a combine. Jordan has a John Deere tractor collection that little boys dreams are made of. Well in a home with three little girls there is a special tractor that has joined all the green paint... It's the coveted pink tractor, that tonight is getting driven by a Lala Loopsy!
The girls actually love playing farm with dad.. although I don't think it is played the same way Jord think's it should. There is a little "Hi, im the pink tractor, what's your name?" instead of just tractor driving noise.

Tub Time

With all of my girls my favorite thing to do has been to bathe them.
I LOVE giving them a bath every night before I put them to bed.
I know it's not going to come as a suprise but Lauryn LOVES her bath.
If you ask me there is NOTHING in the world as lovely as a fresh clean baby!
*check out those baby blues!

Valentines Day

I left making valentines for the girls until about 3 days before Valentines Day... so I quickly made the girls ones on the computer. I had great plans to do something off of Pinterest but didn't really get around to that. O-well! This was the little Miss B ready to go hand out her Valentines day cards at school.
Georgia and Daddy wrestle ALL the time.
Daddy spoiled all his girls on Valentines day. He picked out a little toy for Brooklyn and Georgia and their favorite treat. He also wrote thoughtful cards and got flowers for all of us. I was really sweet to wake up to!
We had the Sister Missionaries over for Valentines Day supper... we had pink waffles, strawberries and whip cream, Shirley Temples' to drink,  bacon hearts and I decorated the table with all pink and red. I thought it was super cute and was excited for it. They didn't seem to appreciate the level of cuteness as much as I did... bummer! But the girls and I enjoyed it!
My little happy baby with her twin of a daddy.
Lauryn is still such a sweet little happy baby. She is smiling back at us now. And it just melts my heart everytime!

Lauryn Josephine Wood

On May 4th, 2012 we found out that we would have a little baby joining our family. A few weeks later we told the girls. Brooklyn was excited from the second we told her, Georgia in true Georgia fashion was a little more skeptical. At 20 weeks we went and found out that it would be another little girl! Georgia had said all along "if it's a brother I will love it, if it's a sister I will not" so she was not very pleased when we told her it would be a sister. Luckily she had another 20 weeks to prepare, and as the 20 weeks passed she got more and more excited. Once we found out it was a girl we also began discussing names, at which time I found out that Jordan and I like completely different names?! So the next 17 weeks we "strongly discussed"/argued over names :)
At 33 weeks I started to get really itchy and after a few blood test it was confirmed that I had cholestasis. So I was told that I would most likely be induced at 37 weeks... which I was not super excited about. Lauryn's due date was January 10th 2013. I had planned to have all my Christmas decorations down and a clean home and Christmas over with... but it looked like my plan really didn't matter anymore. So we began talking about what day I would be induced, my 37 week happened to be the week before Christmas. So my midwives decided that we would begin trying to get a bed at the hospital on December 19th.
I got up that morning and showered knowing today could be the day and still for some reason I was in disbelief when Carol called at 8:00am on December 19. She told us the Labour and Delivery floor was empty so meet her at 8:30 at the Foothills Hospital. I rushed and got the girls ready. Georgia was going over to Jenn Peipgrass's and then my parents would grab her that afternoon and Brooklyn would go with Max and Norah to school. We rushed out the door and were on our way. With the other girls I was overdue. Brooklyn was 4 days late and Georgia 5. So it was just a really strange feeling to me to be heading to the hospital to have a baby feeling just fine. Other than being itchy I had a wonderful pregnancy (little nauseous in the beginning and low iron (sleepy) at the end) but over all it was good. It seemed like it just flew by!
So we got there and and waited a little while well they cleaned the room that Carol wanted (the one with the tub). Carol broke my water in triage while we waited. Then we walked around for a few hours and grabbed lunch. nothing was really happening so they started the pitocin at about 1pm. By 3 o'clock I was feeling the pain! I had decided early in my pregnancy I was going to try to have this one naturally. A few times over the next 5 hours I told Carol that I couldn't do it... she told me I could. Jord did great through it all, rubbed my back (which killed, because as we would learn she was face up which gives wicked back labor) he also rotated ice cold clothes on me while I was in the tub.
Then at exactly 9:00pm on December 19, 2012 little
Lauryn Josephine Wood
entered the world. Weighing 7Lbs 1oz. and 19.5 in long
tanning

We were home by 11:00pm that night. Grandma Wood had driven up earlier in the day and was waiting in our living room when we got home. She was so excited to meet this tiny little babe. Kissed and loved her then all went to bed with our new little bundle. The next morning Jen brought Brook over, it was her last day before Christmas break but the excitement of her new sister kept her home! Grandma and Grandpa Vermunt brought Georgia home later that day and also came to meet little Lo.
Grandma Debby stayed for the next 3 days taking great care of all of us. Which included following the rules set by the midwives to avoid stairs for the first 3 days. Then on the 22nd Grandma went home. That same night we found out that our little Lauryn was jaundice and needed to go spent a night in the tanning bed. She did that and then with a little convincing we were discharged on the 23rd.

We had our little Christmas baby. Auntie Steph and Sarah were SO happy that she came early because they both got to meet her then. If she had been born on her due date they wouldn't have met her until April when they were done school.
So as I write this our little babe is 8 weeks old. She is the most calm, easy going baby ever. She never really cries or even gets fussy. She grunts when she is hungry. If she does cry, it's only for a minute and she is very easy to comfort. The girls are OVERLY OBSESSED with their new baby sister. She is a lovely addition to our little family.
Lauryn is seriously THE ONLY name we could agree on and Josephine in my Grandma Edna's middle name (also mine). So that is how we chose her name... I still sometimes secretly think she should be my little Charlotte... but Lauryn is growing on me ;) I call her my little Lo. So she might be referred to as that once and while on the blog.

Sunday Afternoon

Remember when I use to document things that happened in my family's life?! No? Neither do I!
I have decided that I am going to start again, and really put effort into it. Brooklyn is going to be 8 this summer... the last 4 years have kinda been a blur, and it is going by WAY to fast. I want to remember all the things that happen around here. Georgia says way to many funny thing that I know I wont remember unless I start writing them down. And lastly I have a baby that hasn't even been introduced on our family blog... epic fail!!! We love our little Lauryn and I will do a whole post dedicated to her before the end of the week. But today I will restart blogging with this afternoon...
Jordan thought he would head upstairs for a nap... this is what that looks like.
Georgia is as wild and crazy as ever. She is the epitome of an annoying little sister. I had to tell her 4 times on a 10 minutes drive home from Church to keep her hands to herself. On the way home from Church it was cause she wouldn't leave Brooklyn alone, but most of the time it is little Lauryn that is constantly being touched, hugged, kissed, squeezed, petted by Georgia. These pictures were taken seriously 2 seconds apart. You can see Georgia little paw sneaking it's way into the picture.
Lauryn is the best baby ever. I'm sure that everyone is so sick of hearing it, but she is!!! This little peanut is so easy going. She never just cries without a reason, and when she does it's just a quiet little sad cry that can easily be calmed. I am overly in love with our newest little lady. I was so nervous to go back to having a newborn, but she has just been a dream.
Brooklyn is the best little helper ever. I know that she will be a excellent mother someday in the very distant future. She also, like Georgia would to anything to just spend a whole day holding Lauryn. Brooklyn is just as sweet as ever. She has the most sensitive heart and is always very aware of other feelings. She is growing up way to fast.

Jordan and I (and Lauryn) attended the adult session of our Stake Conference. I remember the first time Jordan said lets go the the adult session, I didn't even know there was one?! But that's beside the point. Elder Paul E. Koelliker spoke and I really feel like the topic he spoke on was for me. Some main points that stood out to me were on how to better invite the spirit into our homes, how to treat our spouses and said don't yell at our children. All things that I really need to be better at. I want to remember the things he taught and really try to apply them in my home with my family. Sometimes I feel like it's gonna take my vocal cords being ripped out by wolves (pitch perfect ;)) to get me to stop yelling.

Another lady in my bed!

I came home from a fun night out with some ladies in my ward and this is how I found Jordan and Georgia.
Brooklyn was at a sleepover at her friends.
So precious!

Coming January 2013

I have been meaning to do a better job on the blog... I have failed :(
But no time the present to pick back up!
So now the I feel like the word is out, this is how I told Jordan.
I found out Tuesday May 1st that I was expecting. The girls were going to Edmonton that weekend with Deb and Lorne, so I thought I would keep it my little secret for a few days.
So the girls left Friday afternoon. I went over to the dollar store and got pink and blue helium balloons. Then came home and designed these little "we're having a baby" signs. When Jord got home from work I was laying on the couch in the bonus room pretending to nap. I asked him to grab me my chapstick in our room. And since he's such a nice guy he went off to get it!
He came out of the room with a cute little smile on his face.

So we kept it our little secret for a little while. The girls are both getting excited. Brooklyn was so excited right from the time we told her. Georgia had to wrap her mind around it a bit, but now she is pretty set that it will be good as long as it's a boy... we'll see how that turns out :)
So last night I was on the computer looking at "baby stuff" last night and came across a great deal, so I ordered my stroller and carseat last night!!! I'm so excited! We are going down to Utah for Mackenzies wedding in two weeks and I will pick it up!
