Another lady in my bed!

I came home from a fun night out with some ladies in my ward and this is how I found Jordan and Georgia.
Brooklyn was at a sleepover at her friends.
So precious!

Coming January 2013

I have been meaning to do a better job on the blog... I have failed :(
But no time the present to pick back up!
So now the I feel like the word is out, this is how I told Jordan.
I found out Tuesday May 1st that I was expecting. The girls were going to Edmonton that weekend with Deb and Lorne, so I thought I would keep it my little secret for a few days.
So the girls left Friday afternoon. I went over to the dollar store and got pink and blue helium balloons. Then came home and designed these little "we're having a baby" signs. When Jord got home from work I was laying on the couch in the bonus room pretending to nap. I asked him to grab me my chapstick in our room. And since he's such a nice guy he went off to get it!
He came out of the room with a cute little smile on his face.

So we kept it our little secret for a little while. The girls are both getting excited. Brooklyn was so excited right from the time we told her. Georgia had to wrap her mind around it a bit, but now she is pretty set that it will be good as long as it's a boy... we'll see how that turns out :)
So last night I was on the computer looking at "baby stuff" last night and came across a great deal, so I ordered my stroller and carseat last night!!! I'm so excited! We are going down to Utah for Mackenzies wedding in two weeks and I will pick it up!

Beautiful Sunday, Beautiful Girls

I love SUMMER!!! I think it is the best season by far!!! Here are our pretty ladies all ready for church yesterday. I spoke yesterday in Sacrament meeting, defiantly in the top three thing I dis-like doing the most. I think it went well, but I will sleep a lot better this week than last! Glad it's over! It was nice to the Georgia's cute little round face making funny faces at me from their seats.

Temple

It was the first +20 degree day we have had this year... It was wonderful! I find it so much easier to get up and get going when I know it's a beautiful day. So we were ready for church early, so we decided to head to a minute early and take some pictures in front of the temple. With it being down the street sometimes I think I already don't take the time to really look at it! I can not even begin to express how excited I am for it to be done. They informed us a bit more about the open house plan today in Sacrament meeting.
So this is my first invite...
if anyone out there reading this does not belong to the same church as I do...
the open house will be sometime around the end of September. And I would LOVE to go with you.. once the temple is dedicated you are still more than welcome to come, you just have to become a member of the church  ;)
And since I had my camera out today I actually got around to taking some pictures!

Jord got home LATE Thursday night. Friday night the girls went to a sleep over and Jord went on a date... It was one of my favorite dates ever. It was nothing super exciting, it was just easy and fun. We laughed and joked, and walked thru the mall holding hands. Nasty Taco Bell followed by yummy gelato then we washed the truck and finished up at the mall. I love my husband. I was nice to have him home. We had to drop him off at the airport again right after church today. He is almost landing in San Diego now, but thankfully this is just until early Tuesday morning.

Steph's Questions

My Questions:
1. What is your favorite genre of music?
I can't really answer this question.... alternative, pop, country, little bit of everything. I never really loved music growing up. It was't until I was "alone" that I started loving it. I would sit on iTunes for hours at night alone. It comforted me when I was alone. I used to always have music play in the house when it was just us girls. I think music is SO profound... there is song that now that I am re-married can not listen to.. to may memories! I LOVE music now!
2. What is your favorite book you have read?
I'm not a big reader.. SO for now it will just have to be the Twilight series, It the first set that I really loved!
3. Which would you choose... Chicken or steak?
STEAK!!!!!!! A big juicy medium rare one!
4. If you had one day to do anything you wanted to do, go anywhere you wanted to go, be with anyone you wanted to be with and spend as much money as you wanted to... how would that day go?
I would go to some beautiful beach with my husband and my girls. There would be someone in charge of bringing us food, so I wouldn't have to worry about what to feed the girls. And then at night I might have to do some kinda a shopping ;)
5. If you could change ONE thing about yourself (physically, emotionally etc.) What would it be?
I would change my self image... I hate that I beat myself up. I would give anything to be a confidant person and love myself! Also take to love handles away;)
6. What is your favorite color combination?
LOVE Nautical! Navy and white never get old to me...pu them together in a stripe pattern and I can't resist!
7. Where would be your dream location to live for the rest of your life?
I don't know yet... I haven't decided, but I'm leaning toward some land somewhere where I can send my children out to play for the day without worrying
8. What is your biggest fear when it comes to raising your family?
That I am not doing a good enough job. That my children don't know how much I love them. That my husband doesn't now how much I appreciate and love him.
9. If you were in a park and someone was screaming for help, what would you do?
Run away!!! hahaha Seriously being honest I think I would be to scared to help, sad hey?!
10. If you and your spouse were about to get your first pet, what would you get and what would you name it?
Let pretend that we were, and that we chose this pet together... In my dreams Polo does not exist :) So we would get a loved family dog that works for all of us. I don't know what we would name our loved family pet... not Polo
11. What is your perfect day in? You know... a day on a cold, rainy day.. what would you do?
Either re-finsh some great old piece of furniture or just lay in bed with my family and watch movies

Fyi- Blogger is being gay and wont let me change the text... so that's why it is all over the map!!! Stupid thing

Girls Movie Night

Tonight the girls and I pulled out the hide-a-bed, popped some popcorn
and turned to Netflix ...
Ramona and Beezus
I remember reading the books when I was younger. Little did I know it would explain my two girls to a T! Brooklyn is proper, beautiful and kind and aware of her surrondings and others feelings. Georgia is marching to her own BEAT! She is cute as a bug and FULL of spunk!
I loved just enjoying the night with my girls. I don't do it often enough. By the end of the movie Georgia was cuddled right in my arms and I loved it. Brooklyn is now asleep out in the bonus room and Georgia is hopefully asleep in their room.
I pulled out the camera cause I haven't been doing it often enough lately.
I LOVE looking back at pictures, so I need to remeber to take them!!!!

You can tell she loves getting her picture taken?!
Showing me how mad she can make her face... I still think she's pretty cute when she's mad

Blurry.. it's hard taking self portaits without a small camera.
Brookyln giving us a "Taylor Swift heart" and Georgia trying to be as cool as her big sister ;)

Just us girls

Mr. Wood is in Ecuador. This is his forth year going for a medical mission, they go over there and do hip replacements. He left on Tuesday morning. We miss him. I miss him more than I ever have before. When he went last year we missed him, but we were just engaged so it's not like he was always with us. I know how to be alone... but it takes a few days to get used to him not coming home at night. I excited for him to come back! He is a loved man around here!

So the girls and I are for the most part enjoying our time alone. Last night the girls went to a birthday party... I spent some time alone at the mall... found some good deals on stuff I didn't need;)

Brooklyn

We had our first and hopefully last broken bone! Brooklyn fell down our stairs and fractured her radius. She was VERY picky about who got to sign her cast. It was on for 3 weeks and let me tell you I did not give her as many bathes as I would have. SO much more work when you have to bag it and make sure she holds it out of the water!
Brooklyn lost her first in January... she worked on it FOREVER! For the last few months and still now her hands are always in her mouth working on getting a tooth ready to come out! She lost it at school. As she came home and told me "Quinnlan told me to turn it, so I did and then I heard it crack and then it came out!" She was SO happy!
Miss B LOVES Lego. They have this new Lego for girls called Lego Friends and she just LOVES building things. In a home with 5 girls growing up we never had Lego, it pretty fun and I love her little imagination.

So she did end up having Strep Throat! So once again she is on antibiotics. She is already feeling SO much better, which make me a happy. I HATE seeing her sick or hurt!

update on my babies!

This right here is one of the funniest little girls ever... difficult, but funny.
I was taking a picture of Brooklyn and of course she wanted me to take a picture of her. (side note, in case you didn't notice she just finished an oreo)
So I take it and she wants to see it on my camera. The first thing she said when she saw it was "What!? Why is that on my face?" And starts wiping her around her mouth... If I am not ready to scream at this kid then I am laughing at her. She can be such a little pill, but sometimes Jord and I just have to laugh at her fiery little attitude.
Sick little girl. Brookyln's little immune system SUCKS lately. She seems to always be getting sick, it's not fun! Right now we are waiting for the results of a swab for strep throat. She just has a really REALLY sore throat, nasty fever and as always she is TIRED. Last week she was throwing up, a few weeks before that she broke her arm. I just feel like she is falling apart!
Ever since she had Mono last year she just seems to be getting sick ALL the time.
I think we eat generally pretty healthy. I am by no means a health nut, but I make about 90% of our meals at home. I feel like she eats pretty healthy, she takes her multi-vitamin on a semi regular basis. Why is she always getting sick?!
If anyone has advice how to boost her immune system I'll take it!

Just realizing now...

This was remembrance day 2011... Jord had known the girls for about a month
Already acting like a dad :)

I think it's time I start a blog again... I feel like its been too long!

So we have been married 5 months today!!! It's wierd in one way I fell like it has gone by fast but in others it almost hard for me to remember when we wern't married?!

Just yesterday Jordan and I were talking about when he met the girls...
It was late September 2010. So I had dated a few other guys but none had really met the girls. I didn't want the girls to see men coming and going in our lives (cause that NOT what I want them to think happens!) Anyway it kinda shocked me when we were talking about it yesterday, heres why-
He met them sometime in October. He brought the mutt over (more on that issue another time ;) )and helped the girls and I rake leaves in the back yard. I just told the girls a friend was coming over to help clean up the back yard. At this point I was semi comfortable with him meeting the girls... but just as long as they knew he was a friend!
Then sometime in November Jordan wanted to take us (all three of us) on a date to the West Edmonton mall water park. This is when I think in my mind something kinda clicked, like wait a second... "he wants to appear as a family in public?!" So we did. I remember him offering to take Brookyln down slides that I couldn't take Georgia down, and saying he would stay with Georgia while I took Brooke. It all felt so natural?! Like all of the sudden I had help, and he wanted to do it?! I really can't put into words how overwhelming it was. And it isn't until just now that I am realizing how fast he became a memeber of our family... he really just stepped in to being a "dad" so seamlessly.
Before we were married I was kinda stressing out about when or if they would ever call him dad. Not a word of a lie to was pretty much right when they got back from DisneyWorld and we got back from Cabo that they just started calling him dad!
Now this post makes it sound like there have been no challenges with becoming a "new family"... I can tell you that's NOT ture! It's hard sometimes. I know I have a million and ten issues I need to work on, and Jordan has one or two things he's not perfect at. But the blessing far out weigh the struggles.
Until you are a single mom you don't know how nice it is to wait until your kids are in bed to run an errand! I'm so grateful to have a husband. He is not only a great husband either, he a great dad too, and he tries really hard. The girls LOVE him, he is their dad. period. I never thought I would be able to say that.
I am happy, life is good.
